selling up Empty
PostSubject: selling up   selling up EmptyThu May 14, 2009 10:52 am

i'm thinking of doing a tomcleary style sell up and rebuild next season, after my cup run finishes

this will include 4 national team players and most of my squad

i've been here since season one and played the expansive game all along and it's time for a change.

my 2 options are to create a farm squad and dwell in division 3 or go the harder option and try to get back to the top with a fully possesion/kicking based squad.

this is not set in stone yet but i'm seriously considering it.

if this does happen you all will get a few weeks notice so there is a chance to make funds available to buy up some quality players.

don't sell North.

Remember Cattell??

I'm serious, North is your lifeblood get rid of him and you've made a mistake.

If your serious, let me sell half my squad to buy him before you sell off your team

Farm squad is boring, you can still do that with the forwards based team.

I reckon it'll be an intersting challenge, but very hard to do. For the fixed price players, I don't think you'll probably make enough money.

I think backs are more expensive than forwards, so going this way is the only way to go.

What time do you think is the best time to sell, to get the most eyeballs?

I'd have to sell Florian to get him. Should need 7 Mill to win the bid.

Raptis was just shy of 6 mill and with inflation 7 mill will be cheap in comparison.

how much coin did tom get for his squad?

i would like for redhead to stay in australia, anyone interested i will even change his training to suit future needs

i have an 18 passer 69 scrummie, to sell as well
49 skill USA nat team winger
marvrodin, hancock, butcher, le grand should each fetch about 1.5 million

but i'm guessing the bidding war will be for a certain 69 skill fullback

the rest of my team are getting on a bit so it will soon be time for a rebuild anyway, why not a total overhaul?

I got about 10 mil, but didnt sell Yves. He would probably have gone for about 3.

But yeh, I wasted a bit buying and selling players after that.
